MLK Day, no school, and it totally snuck up on me (I really ought to pay more attention to that sign out front of the school). So here I sit at my desk, no plans of attack, nothing to do but veg out and listen to tunes.
Had a surreal night last night chatting with friends and strangers. Friends from Clearlake are all in a dither about things I cant work up any empathy for. Their "love" life and the dramas associated with it. Dang boys, get a grip, its just sex, dont read so much into everything.
Stranger from LA IMed me part of the night, worldy advice about what love is (I hadnt sought advice, but there it was). Just tripping on his on issues, and throwing in some Boomer sexual fantasies just to give it that extra ummph...I guess he wanted to have cyber sex, but I just dont play that game.
Spent more time surfing the web doing research on my big escape from Houston. I'm liking the idea of California or Florida more and more. New York seems less likely, since I dont seem to be able to get a feel for the town online. Met some cool dudes online, giving me advice on things for both FL and CA. Been checking out roommate ads on www.Craigslist.org so I am getting a better feel about what it might cost me this Summer when I finally land somewhere.
Worked on my Amazon Wish List for graduation. I am horrible at thinking of things to put on there. So far I've asked for Poppers, pillows , shoes and dvds...I really need to show more imagination. Not sure if it does any good, but dont want to come across as a complete dork by virtue of my Wish List (I dork myself in so many other ways).
Cooper is still talking about the Prom and his grand plan of us going with two lesbian friends of ours. Sadly the girls think this is cool idea too. C says "We're only in HS once" (thank gawd)"lets make the best of it, and go out in style" He's talking like a queen,which is so unlike Mr Uber Butch....but he is my best friend, and I guess I'll end up going along with the plan (it has all the feel of a Christmas vacation in Phuket...
mom and Dad got back from casino trip to Biloxi, clsing in fast on 6 months of me being persona non grata (sic). If more than 5 words are exchanged all week, that is something. Have noticed Dad refers to me in the third person, but with certain amount of venom "that boy" or "the kid" I am maintaining a low profile, trying to stay just below radar, and getting on with things.
